In an attempt to further differentiate itself from competitors, Spotify is releasing a new feature soon called Discover Weekly that will hopefully introduce you to some new music, relevant to your tastes.
Discover Weekly is essentially a two hour playlist of new music that is built upon your listening habits. Which means that as your taste in music evolves, theoretically so will Discover Weekly. Engadget has a hands-on post with the new feature and says that it works well overall. Listening to hip hop for a week infused a playlist originally composed of alternative rock with hip hop. How Discover Weekly will change over time remains to be seen, but so far it looks promising.
As the title implies, Discover Weekly’s playlists launch on every Monday, giving you some new tunes to start the week off right. Be on the lookout for Discover Weekly to hit the public soon.
