Pre-requisites
- Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on your Windows computer;
- Create a backup of all your important data, if your device is having any custom recoveries as CWM or TWRP installed then backup data using the recovery;
- Enable USB Debugging Mode on the tablet to connect it with your computer and use Android SDK with it :press Menu-> Settings-> Applications, navigate and click on Development Option to check USB Debugging Mode;
- Make sure your Galaxy Note 10.1 device is more than 80% battery charged;
- The device should be factory unlocked and not locked to a particular carrier;
- The device will lose custom ROM with the installation of the firmware. Supplementary, the custom recovery will be replaced by stock version.
- The tablet will no longer belong to a rooted version with the installation of official firmware.
- The PDA N8000XXUDND5 Android 4.4 2 KitKat test firmware works only with Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000, verify the model number of your device by going to Settings-> About tablet-> Model number.
1. Extract the firmware file
2. Download Odin3 v3.09
3. Switch off your Galaxy Note 10.1 device
3. Restart tablet in download mode : press and hold Power and Volume down keys together
4. Extract and run Odin.ZIP file as administrator
5. Connect your device using an USB cable and wait until you recive a blue sign in Odin, select the next files extracted from N8000XXUDND5 folder to install on your tablet
Add AP_N8000XXUDND5.tar.md5 to AP
Add BL_N8000XXUDND5.tar.md5 to BL
Add MODEM_N8000XXUDND2.tar.md5 to CP
Add CSC_OXA_N8000OXADND5.tar.md5 to CSC
6. Make sure re-partition is NOT checked, only Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time boxes are ticked in Odin
7. Click the Start button in Odin to start the installation, after the installation is completed, the tablet restarts automatically. When you see the home screen, pull the USB cable to disconnect the tablet from the computer.
8. N8000XXUDND5 Android 4.4.2 test firmware is now installed on your Galaxy Note 10.1. tablet. Navigate to Settings-> About phone to verify the new software version.
