Sidebar Multitasking with Glovebox:-
It’s nothing new. You’ve heard of Swapps, Sidebar, and perhaps even Homeflip. All of them offer their take on the Ubuntu style sidebar multitasking, whether it be with high customization, flexibility or even low RAM usage. Now there’s Glovebo.
Garnering impressive amount of attention in the XDA Forums, Glovebox is an independently developed app by XDA Forum Member fmaster1. It performs the same, core function of allowing users to quickly and conveniently switch applications with a swipe from the left or right of their device screen, bringing up a vertical dock of select-able apps. The app dock, once triggered, displays a vertically scrolling list of user-defined apps. And once hovered over, it displays the app’s name next to the icon with pleasant, Ubuntu-like transition effects.
The user interface provides access to the apps list, where apps can be selected to appear in the sidebar as well as various customization options. Customization possibilities include adjusting height and width of the area of the screen that triggers the app dock, as well as docking the bar to the screen’s left or right. The dock’s transition effects can be enabled and disabled, and the app also allows users the flexibility to disable itself while the device is in landscape mode.
Glovebox is an extremely well-polished sidebar app and although not revolutionary, is a strong competitor among the apps that provide similar functions. It’s aesthetically pleasing, smooth in operation, and practical in concept. Glovebox is available to users of Android versions 1.6 and newer, and is ad-free and free in the Play store.
