SMS Replier Sends Messages When You Can’t
We can’t be around our devices 24/7, no matter how much we wish we could. There are things like sleep, movie theaters, spending time with family, and so on, which force us to put the phone away and keep it there for some time. During that time, we may receive phone calls we can’t answer. Or, alternatively, we could be receiving phone calls we don’t want to answer.
In such cases, it’d be nice to send an automatic text to those people to tell them why you didn’t answer. There is now an app for that. XDA Forum Membersaredev released an app called SMS Replier. It’s a really simple application. It automatically sends an SMS response to any missed call number with a message. Here are the features:
-Enter any message you want to be sent by the app(supports long messages which need multiple SMS’ to be sent).
-Sends an automated message if the reply message is left blank. If the number is that of somebody in your contacts, it includes that contact name in the message.
-Posts notifications to the status bar to let you know at what time it sent automatic messages, and who the messages were sent to. Indicates whether the messages were sent successfully or not.
-A running notification appears in the status bar when Sms Replier is running, allowing for quick access to the interface of the app.
-Option to enable a cool dynamic rainbow background in the interface.
The only known issue in daily usage is that for users running ICS or higher, removing the app from Recent Apps will turn the service off. For more details, check out the SMS Replier thread.
